<para>Grid workflow execution is not always successful: Differences in installation and configuration may result in the failure of individual activities, which may not be noticed until the workflow completes. In this paper we present a simple constraint system with pre- and postconditions which can be used to validate correctness during the execution, thus allowing the detection of failures earlier, when corrective action can still be taken.</para>
